Mr. Jesse (Tom) Clark of 208 West Bond  Street, a watchman at Harrison Steel Casting Co passed away at noon Monday at the Community Hospital, Williamsport, where he had been a patient since Friday when he became ill while at work.  Son of Lorenzo and Iona Pearson Clark, he was born in Fountain County on Aug 25, 1889. In 1924 he was married to Brenda Stevens in Warren County. “Tommy” as he was more affectionately known by his friends was an early Fountain County farmer. He later worked at the Railway Express in Attica and in 1926 was Postmaster at the Riverside Post Office.  He was a member of the Attica EUB Church.  He is survived by the widow four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Poore of Lafayette; Mrs. Otto Karlson of Attica and Rose Marie Clark and Mrs. Nancy Hembree, both at home; two brothers, LD Clark of Attica and William Clark of Carbondale; and six sisters, Mrs. Arch Alenduff, Mrs. Lela Balser, Mrs. Flossie McCallister, Mrs. Lou Nelson, Miss Mary Alice Clark and Miss Rose Berniece Clark, all of Attica. Friends may call at the Roemer Funeral Chapel after 1 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday from the EUB Church in Attica with Rev. Riffle Howard officiating. Interment will be made in the family lot in the Bethel Cemetery east of Attica with Reomer Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Attica – Jesse (Tom) Clark, 72, of 208 West Bond Street, died shortly after noon Monday in Community Hospital, Williamsport, where he had been a patient since Friday when he became ill at work in the Harrison Steel Casting plant. Born in Fountain County, he formerly was a farmer and postmaster of the former Riverside Post Office and also worked for the Railway Express Agency before going to work in the Harrison plant 34 years ago. He was married to Brenda Stevens in 1924 and was a member of the EUB Church.  Surviving with the widow are four daughters, Mrs. Otto Karlson of Attica; Mrs. Elizabeth Poore of Lafayette; and Mrs. Nancy Cambree and Miss Rose Marie at home; two brothers, LD Clark of Attica and William of Carbondale and six sisters, Mrs. Arch Alenduff; Mrs. Lela Balser; Mrs. Flossie McCallister; Mrs. Louis Nelson and Misses Alice and Rose Clark, all of Attica.

Clark, Jesse – Friends may call at Roemer Funeral Home, Attica after 1 p.m. Wednesday. Body will lie in state one hour before services in Attica EUB Church at 2 p.m. Thursday. Rev. Riffle Howard will officiate; burial in Bethel Cemetery east of Attica.
