New Richmond - Mrs. Ida Nora Clarkson, 87, died at 2 p.m. Sunday at her home three miles west of New Richmond where she had lived for the past 57 years. She had been seriously ill for the past two weeks and succumbed to a heart attack. Born Jan. 19, 1870 in Troy Township, Fountain County, she was the daughter of Abner B. and Margaret Elizabeth Osborn DeHaven. She was married to Lewis E. Clarkson in 1900 at Covington. Mrs. Clarkson was a member of the Wingate Methodist Church and attended the Lemon School and Miss Coffeen's Academy. She is survived by three brothers, Ross DeHaven, Rt. 2, Covington, Alva L. DeHaven, Crescent City, Fla., and Arista M. DeHaven, of Covington; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Parman, who have lived in the Clarkson home many years; a niece and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1939, and a son, Joseph, who died in infancy. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Wingate Methodist Church with Rev. Innis of the Wingate Christian Church officiating. The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington. Friends may call at the Servies Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Monday.

Wingate - Funeral services for Mrs. Ida Clarkson, who died Sunday at her home east of Wingate, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist Church. Rev. C. H. Innis of the Christian Church officiated. At the organ, Mrs. James Grenard played favorite hymns and "The Lord's Prayer." Those who carried flowers were Mrs. Hallie Caldwell, Mrs. Gordon Halloway, Mrs. Clare Meharry, Mrs. Raymond Allhands, Mrs. Byron Cowan, Mrs. Floyd Geiger, Mrs. Roy Meharry, Mrs. William Stonecipher, Mrs. Boyd Rogers, Mrs. Reuben Swank, Mrs. John Keeney and Mrs. Richard Elliott. The pallbearers were Gordon Holloway, Clare Meharry, Byron Cowan, Floyd Geiger, Roy Meharry, William Stonecipher, John Keeney, and Wildy Alton. Interment was in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington.
