Rossville – Mrs. Georgia E. Clark Clawson, 85, formerly of 100 Short St, Williamsport, died at 9 a.m. Thursday in Milner Community Health Care, Rossville. She had resided  at the nursing facility since August 1981.  Born Nov 18, 1899 in Fountain County, she had lived in Lafayette and Williamsport several years. In 1921 she was married in Covington to Harold W. Clawson, a former Purdue University employee. He died in 1970. Mrs. Clawson was a member of First Christian Church in Lafayette. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lee (Jean) Baker of Hyattsville, Md and Mrs. Lorretta Lowery of Lafayette.

Service 2 p.m. Saturday in Soller-Baker, Lafayette Chapel, Chaplain Virginia Nead officiating. Interment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Surviving are 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. One daughter, Norma D. Hillyer preceded in death. - kbz
