Attica - Funeral services for James Chester Claypool, age 81, of 503 S. Perry St., Attica, who died Friday night, July 19, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette, were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, at the Roemer Funeral Chapel. Burial was in the family lot at Riverside Cemetery. He was born July 30, 1881 in Fountain County, the son of James and Caroline Odell Claypool. He was married in 1904 in Fountain County to Lilly Burns who died in April of this year. Claypool was a member of the Union Christian Church of Attica. He attended Moreom Theological College at Moreom, Ind. Claypool taught school at Rob Roy south of here and operated the Grab-It-Here Store here for many years. Surviving are two sons, C.B. of Beaumont, Texas, and James C. of South Fort Mitchell, Ky.; a daughter, Mrs. Fredrick Meyer of New York City; a brother A. T. Claypool of Attica; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Claypool of Attica Rt.; five
