Dallas Wayne Cleveland, 77, of Attica, died at Woodland Manor Nursing Center, Attica, on Tuesday, September 12, 2000 at 4 a.m. Born in Veedersburg on August 6, 1923, he was the son of the late Albert Cleveland and Opal (Goodson) Cleveland Dotson. He attended school in Attica and had lived most of his life in Attica. Dallas was a member of the Attica-Williamsport Presbyterian Church and formerly served on the church board. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Navy. He was a life member of VFW Post #3318 of Attica. His marriage was to Mary Louise Myers on April 1, 1950 in Sterling. She preceded him in death on November 17, 1995. Surviving, are: a stepson, Ben (Judith) Fugate of Bloomington, Minnesota; a sister, Idell (Richard) Kirts of Attica; a half-brother, Joe Dotson of Lafayette; a dear friend, Mary Meador of Attica; two stepgrandsons, Robin (Dori) Fugate of Plainfield, Ill. and Todd (Brenda) Fugate of Carbondale, Colorado; a stepgranddaughter, Lisa (Paul) Slack of White Bear Lake, Minn; five stepgreat-grandchildren, Jacob, Emily and Jonathan Fugate, Truman and Phillip Slack; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Tallman and a half-sister, Susan Evans. Visitation at Maus Funeral Home, Attica, 5-8 p.m. on Friday. Service there on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. John DeSanto officiating. Interment with military services at Riverside Cemetery, Attica. ATTICA — Dallas Wayne Cleveland, 77, 305 E. Jackson St., Attica, died at 4 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2000 in Woodland Manor Nursing Center, Attica. He was born Aug. 6, 1923 in Veedersburg, the son of Albert Cleveland and Opal Goodson Cleveland Dotson. He married Mary Louise Myers April 1, 1950 in Sterling. She preceded in death Nov. 17, 1995. He attended school in Attica and had lived most of his life in Attica. He had worked at Alcoa in Lafayette for over 25 years, when he retired. He was a veteran of World War Ii serving in the U. S. Navy. He was a member of the Attica-Williamsport Presbyterian Church and formerly served on the church board. He was a life member of V.F.W. Post #3318 of Attica. Survivors include: a step son, Ben (Judith) Fugate, Bloomington, Minn.; a sister, Idell (Richard) Kirts, Attica; a half brother, Joe Dotson, Lafayette; two step grandsons, Robin (Dori) Fugate, Plainfield and Todd (Brenda) Fugate, Carbondale, Colo; a step granddaughter, Lisa (Paul) Slack, White Bear Lake, Minn.; five step great-grandchildren, Jacob, Emily and Jonathan Fugate, Truman and Phillip Slack; several nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Mary Meador, Attica.
