Daniel Webster Cleveland, founder of the Cleveland Bakery of this city, died at his home 817 S. Grant Avenue at 2 o'clock Thursday monring after an illness of six weeks. Mr. Cleveland who was 75 had been in failing health for the past 7 years. He founded the Cleveland Bakery in this city in 1906 and retired in 1931, having been one of the city's active business leaders. he was born on June 21, 1866 in KY the son of Amos and Emaline Miller Cleveland and on Oct 1, 1896, he was married to Candace Marshall at Kingman. He is survived by his wife, two daughtesr, Mrs. Wyoneta Bandel of Rye, NY and Mrs. Idell Bruner of this city, one son, Dewey Cleveland of Baltimore, MD and three grandchildren, Marilyn Bandel, Phillip Bruner and Carl Cleveland. One nephew and several nieces also survive. The body was to be removed fromt he Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home to the family residence at 817 South Grant, late Thursday where friends may pay their respects. The funeral will be held from the First Christian Church at 3 Saturday afternoon in charge of Rev. Paul Million with burial in Masonic Cemetery. The body will lie in state for one hour preceding the funeral.
