LADOGA

Walter Franklin Cline, 90, a resident of Ladoga for many years, died a 10:10 p.m. Friday in Putnam County Hospital at Greencastle. He had been ill for a year and a half. He was born July 22, 1872, in Boone County and his parents were Samuel and Mary Elliott Cline. On April 30, 1902 he married Margaret Elkin in Bismark, Ill. He was a member of the Ladoga Christian Church and was an evangelistic minister all of his life. He started preaching in 1896. Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Matthews of Alvin, Ill., Mrs. Esther Zimmerman of New Winchester and Mrs. Estelle Ewbank of Roachdale; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Lucas of Camden and Mrs. Daisy Summers of Westfield; 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the Perkins Funeral Home in Roachdale with burial in Gundy Cemetery in Bismark, Ill. Friends may call at the funeral home.
