Perrysville – Leatha Mae Clingan, 81, a former Perrysville area resident residing in Punta Gorda, Fla died Monday Feb 8, 1999 at her residence. Born June 16, 1917 in Saint Bernice, she was the daughter of Wallace and Hazel Mae Shuey Jordan. Sh married Robert Irvin Clingan June 16, 1935 who survives. She was employed for many years in the office of Dr. WA Johnson and then at the VA Medical Center in Danville, Ill. She attended Cooper Chapel Church. Survivors besides her husband include: son, Wallace Earl (Mary) Clingan, Perrysville; brothers, Clyde W (Etta Mae) Jordan, Clinton; David D (Velma) Jordan, South Bend; sisters, Marjorie (Jude) Eller, Port Charles, Fla; Mary Jo (Kenneth) Crane, Clinton, Opal (James) McCullough, Terre Haute; two grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brother, Wilbur Jordan and sisters, Evelyn Monce and Barbara Young. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday in Shelby Funeral Home, Covington with Randy Paddock officiating. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Bismarck, Ill.
