CLODFELTER, John Peter

Waynetown - Graveside rites are set for 4 p.m. Saturday at the Lutheran Cemetery in Wallace for John Peter Clodfelter, 76, former Fountain County resident who died Tuesday of a stroke at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. Rev. Lewis Poore will officiate. The body is being brought to the Servies Funeral Home here. He had been ill since February. Mr. Clodfelter who lived many years in Dearborn was employed at the Ford plant and retired in 1961. For a time in his retirement he lived in Crawfordsville with a niece, Opal Stephens. Born Dec 14, 1884, he was a son of George and Sarah E. Pearson CLodfelter. He married at Dearborn Feb 13, 1919 to Irene Miller who died in 1937. Mr. Clodfelter was a membe rof Mt. Olivet Methodist Church there. Survivors inclue 3 stepchildren, Ralph, Richard and Helen of Dearborn; two half sisters, Ruth McCormick of Rt 4, Crawfordsville and Geneva Swindler of Rt 7, Crawfordsville and the niece, Mrs. Stephens. Preceding him in death were his stepmother, Froney Selby; a stepson, Glen Miller; three sisters, Lola, Zula and Dessie and a brother, Edgar.
