CLODFELTER, Sarah - 1889

A sudden and peculiar death is reported across the line in Fountain County in the death of Mrs. Sarah Clodfelter on Tuesday. Her husband was in this city and she had spent the day with her parents telling her
children in the evening to remain there while she went home and built a fire. Soon following her, the children could not find their mother and gave the alarm. A nightlight soon found her body laying in some hay in the barn. It is supposed she died with heart disease as there were no body injuries; she could have have fallen through the hay loft as was at first reported. The funeral occurred Wednesday.
