CLONCS, Leory - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Leroy H. Cloncs, 45, veteran police officer and Veedersburg police chief, died Sunday, June 26, 1977 in St. Elizabeth Hospital at Danville, Ill. Prior to accepting the post as police chief, he was a Fountain County Deputy Sheriff and Roachdale town marshal. He was graduated from Roachdale High School and served four years in the U. S. Navy. Born Aug. 1, 1931, in Tippecanoe County, he was a son of Terrell and Esther Haag Cloncs. Survivors include the widow, Juanita; his parents; two daughters, Tina Lynn Cloncs of Bainbridge and Lorelee Ann Cloncs of California; and a sister, Nancy Cloncs of Bainbridge. Services at Roachdale.
