Source: Grace Alward Newnum - book of obituaries

The many friends of Robert Cochran in this county where he spent a goodly portion of his life, will learn with regret of his death which occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Sarah Kneeland in Jasonville, Indiana Saturday Dec 14, 1907. He had been in feeble health for some time but was able to be around until he was taken suddenly ill and died in a short time. He was a member of the UB Church in this city. The funeral was held from his daughters home, servinces being conducted by Rev. J. F. Ashley after which the remains were laid to rest in the Jasonville cemetery. He leaves besides his daughter, Mrs. Kneeland, a daughter Jennie and a son Willie both of whom are invalids. Uncle Bob Cochran was for many years a familiar person in this county. He was peculiar but honest with his fellow man.
