COVINGTON - Mrs. Pearl Coffing, 78, a former Fountain County resident, died Friday in Memorial Hospital at Sarasota, Fla. She had been a patient three days. Mrs. Coffing was born Sept. 20, 1895, in Troy Township of Fountain County, the daughter of John and Mary Lang Zeigler. She married Ira Coffing Feb. 22, 1916. He died May 22, 1973. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Arthur (Genevieve) Keeneth of Sarasota, Fla., Mrs. Richard (Dorothy) Chase of Danville, Ill., and Mrs. William (Nina) Cole of Bellingham, Wash.; 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home here with the Rev. P. J. Hamilton and the Rev. Forrest Stickler officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday. -jlr
