Theodore C. Coffing, 91, a resident of this community since 1928, died at 4 p.m. Monday in Bowles Nursing Home, where he had been a patient two and a half months. He was a son of Abner and Elizabeth Ziegler Coffing and was born in Fountain County Nov 29, 1875. He was educated in the schools of that county and was wed in 1904 to Lucy Ann Shultz. Surviving are three sons, Carroll, Richard and Francis in Crawfordsville; ; five daughters: Mrs. Paul Houston, Mrs. Lawrence Douglas of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Eva Davis of Stanton Calif, Mrs. Lucile Stull and Mrs. Anna Jean Hinshaw of Weissbonn, Germany ; two brothers, Clarence of Lafayette and Fred of Attica; a sister, Mrs. Sadie Dudley of Fillmore; 22 grandchildren and 26 greats. His wife and an infant son preceded Mr. Coffing in death. Funeral seravices are announced for 2 :30 p.m. Wed at Powers Funeral Home where friends may call. Rev. Elton Call will be the minister, and burial will bei n Greenlawn Cemetery at Wingate.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Powers Funeral Home for Theodore C. Coffing with Rev. Elton Call in charge. Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the flowers were: Fred Lee Coffing of Attica, Ordin Coffing of Williamsport, DeVon Dudley of Fillmore, Clint Coffing of Crawfordsville, Coy Coffing of Newtown and Reid Wilson of Ladoga. Requested hymns were played on the chapel organ with Mrs. Geneva Middleton as organist. Burial was in the family lot in Greenlawn Cemetery at Wingate. Mr. Coffing died Monday.
