Clint M. Coffing of Waynetown, age 84, died Wednesday afternoon, January 12, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was born near Covington, September 29, 1898, the son of Theron and Alta Bowling Coffing. June 3, 1922, he married Grace L. Bodine, who survives. He was a member of the Linden United Methodist Church and was a retired farmer. A graduate of Covington High School, he was an active member of the Indiana Shorthorn Association for many years and had lived at Crawfordsville just prior to moving to Waynetown six weeks ago.
Also surviving are a daughter, Reva Sahm of Indianapolis; a sister, Ruth Spivey of Crawfordsville; a brother, Coy of Lafayette; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with Rev. Hugh Dooley officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery at Covington. – thanks to S
