Hillsboro - Russell Coffman, 82, died at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Pythian Home at Lafayette.  He attended the Hillsboro United Methodist Church and was a member of the Come Join Us Class.  He was employed by Loebs Department Store and RR Donnelley & Sons where he retired in 1966,.  He was a member and past master of Lafayette Masonic Lodge 123, Tippecanoe County Past Masters Association, Lafayette Commandary of Knights Templar, Lafayette Royal Arch Masons, past worthy patron of Fern Chapter of Order of Eastern Star 194 at Hillsboro and Hillsboro Heritage Senior Citizens Club.  He attended Montpelier HS.  Born Aug 1, 1901 at Montepelier, he was a son of Joseph and Viol Signmund Coffman. He was married at Mellott on June 7, 1925 to Irene Wiggins. She survives.  Other survivors are a son, Harold of Phoenix, Arix; a daugter, Mrs. James (Shieley) Leonard of Fowler; a sister, Mrs. Albert Ritter of Lafayette; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Turner; a grandson, Jimmy Leonard and two brothers. Services are 2 p.m. Sunday in the Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Revl. Dorman Winger, officiating.  Interment will be in aynetown Masonic Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday. The family requests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer D8issease and or the Memorial Fund at the Hillsboro United Methodist Church. - kbz
