Mrs. Ada Knowels Cole 74 of near Veedersburg died at 6p.m. Friday 30 Nov 1962 at the Rudisill Nursing Home in Covington. A patiient there since July she had been in ill health for several years and seriously ill for three months. Born in Fountain Co. Jan 18 1888 she was the d/o David & Ellen Butts Knowles. She was married 23 Sep 1903 to William R. Cole who preceded her in death in Mar 1962. She was member of the Stonebluff EUB church. Burial in Osborne Prairie Church. Survivors include three daughters Mrs. Hazel Coffing and Mrs. Irene Coffing, both of Attica and Mrs. Juanita McElhaney of Hoopeston, three sons Ralph of Attica and Forrest and Orville both of eedersburg, a brother Freeman of Attica and six granchildren.

Veedersburg - Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Cole, age 74, a life-long resident of Fountain County, who died at the Rudisill Nursing Home in Covington Friday night, Nov. 30, were held Sunday at the Fishero Funeral Home here. The Rev. Conley Rowland officiated and burial was in the Osborne Prairie Cemetery. Mrs. Cole had been in ill health several years and her condition became serious three months ago. She was born Jan. 18, 1888, the daughter of David and Ellen Butts Knowles. On Sept. 28, 1903, she was married to William R. Cole, who died in March of this year. She was a member of the EUB Church at Stone Bluff. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Coffing and Mrs. Irene Coffing of Attica and Mrs. Juanita McElhaney of Hoopeston, Ill.; three sons, Ralph Cole of Attica, and Forrest and Orville Cole, both of Veedersburg; one brother, Freeman Knowles of Attica, and six grandchildren.
