Alvin J. Cole, 76, of 2411 Underwood St, died at 1 p.m. Saturday in Veterans’ Hospital, Indianapolis where he had been a patient since January. Employed in various restaurants in Lafayette he had lived here since 1923.  Mr. Cole was a native of Fountain county. He was a veteran of WWI serving in the Army. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Grace A. Marquess with whom he made his home.
