Mrs. Elsia Sanders Cole of Summerville, South Carolina, formerly of Newtown, age 64, died Friday morning, February 27, at her home. She was born in Booneville, April 4, 1916, the daughter of Joseph and Susan Jane Luttrell Turpin. She first married William Monroe Sanders, who died in 1955. Later she married Joseph Cole, who survives. Mrs. Cole was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was formerly an employee of Purdue Medical Center at West Lafayette.
  Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Claudia Lou King of Duluth, Georgia, and Mrs. Susan Ann Oakley of Mellott; three sons, Ronald Keith Sanders of Williamsport, Donald Lee Sanders of Vienna, Illinois, and William David Sanders of Littleton, Colorado; two stepsons, Richard Cole of Oklahoma City and Steve Cole of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Lee Taylor and Mrs. Frona Hill, both of Booneville, and Mrs. Mary Frances Tiller of Summerville; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Maus Funeral Home in Attica with Rev. Troy Alexander officiating. Burial was in Newtown Cemetery.  – thanks to S
