ATTICA — Ethel M. (Heidenreich) Cole, 68, 1848 E. U. S. Highway 41, Attica, died at 11:30 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2007 in Williamsport Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Aug. 2, 1938 in Idaho, the daughter of Claude and Mattie (Hennesy) Heidenreich. She married Jesse Damon Cole Aug. 11, 1956 in Abilene, Kan. He preceded in death Dec. 31, 2000. She was raised and educated in Junction City, Kan. She later moved to Attica in 1958. She formerly worked at the Corner Pub in Attica for many years. She later worked as security for the main gate at Harrison Steel Castings Co. in Attica, until her retirement in 2004. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post #3318 of Attica. She enjoyed reading. Survivors include: a daughter, Sue (Jim) Anderson, Attica; a grandson, J. D. Green; and three great-grandchildren, Michael and Bradley Green and Sadie Kennedy. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Claude Heidenreich; and a sister, Nellie Poynter. A private burial service will be held at a later date. Maus Funeral Home, Attica, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions are preferred to the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W. Post #3318.
