ATTICA. Ind. (CNS) - Jerry Leonard Cole Sr., 71, of 601 Perry, died at 8:45 p.m. yesterday (Sept. 22, 1969) in the Williamsport Community Hospital where he had been a patient since Sept. 18. He had been in ill health a year. Born near Greenhill, Ind., Jan. 20, 1898, he was a son of Abraham and Martha Lloyd Cole. He had lived most of his life in Fountain and Warren Counties. He was married Feb. 16, 1931, in Oblong, Ill., to Fern Perkins who survives. Mr. Cole had been a grinder at the Harrison Steel Castings Co. in Attica for 20 years before retiring in 1963. Also surviving are three sons, Frank Lyle Cole of Williamsport, Jerry Cole Jr. of Mesa, Ariz., and Jesse Damon Cole of Attica; a daughter, Mrs. Patricia (Pat) Carson of Bourbonnais, Ill. Also, a sister, Mrs. Ruby Miller of Hedrick, Ind.; three brother, Lewis Cole and Homer Cole both of Williamsport rural route, and Peter Cole of Attica, and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and two sisters. Friends will be received at the DeSutter Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Harry Randolph will officiate. Burial will be in the Jordan Cemetery at Pence. - jlr
