Newtown - Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie Lee Colestock, age 83, who died at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at her home here, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Crumley Funeral Home at Hillsboro. The Rev. George Phelps officiated and burial was in the Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Colestock, who had been in failing health for several months, was born Feb. 8, 1881 at Abington, Va. She was twice married, first to Omer George, who died in 1931, then to Al Colestock, who survives her, on July 30, 1934. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star and Pythian Sisters, all of Newtown. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are: one stepson, Dale Colestock of Centralia, Ill.; one grandson, Thomas George of Worthington, Ohio; and three great-grandchildren.
