Funeral services for Jesse Talbot Collins, 73, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John R. Servies in charge. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Collins, barber for 44 years, died Tuesday at Culver Hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. He had been in failing health for three months. He had been a barber in Crawfordsville for the past 33 years. A son of James and Louella Livengood Collins, he was born in Hillsboro on Jan. 27, 1894. He was married in 1947 to Frances Thomas, who survives. Mr. Collins was a member of Prairie Chapel Church. Surviving besides the wife are a son, Harold of Rt. 1 Ladoga; two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Crumly and Mrs. Barton McCormick of Crawfordsville; a stepson, Max Thomas of this city; a brother, Herman of Wallace; five sisters, Mrs. Ruby Pence of Mobile, Ala., Mrs. Myrtle Johnson of Hadenfield, N.J., Mrs. Lorraine Verhey of Romney and Mrs. Mary Ray of West Point and Mrs. Josephine Clore of Indianola, Ill.; three half-brothers, Richard of Wallace, James of Waveland and Lex of Orlando, Fla., and five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were a daughter, four brothers and two sisters.
