Covington – John William Collins, 83, died at 4 a.m. Thursday at his home on Third St, Covington. Funeral services were at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Shelby & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Morris J. Morgan officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope cemetery. Mr. Collins was born March 8, 1863 in Fountain County, son of James and Harriet Lemmon Collins. He was not married and lived his entire life here. Nearest relatives are a niece, Mrs. John Watts, and a nephew, James Murray, Covington. – 1946
