MEAD, Florence Cranmore - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Florence Mead, 79, of Covington, an employee of Warrick's Restaurant at Covington for several years, died Thursday Nov. 3, 1977 in St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Ill. She had been a patient there two weeks. She attended Assembly of God Church and was a resident of Covington for 40 years. Mrs. Mead was born near Stone Bluff on March 10, 1898, a daughter of Manford and Della Reed Cranmore. She married Alva A. Mead who died in 1940. Surviving are a son, Melvin Cranmore of Danville; a daughter Della Mae Montgomery of Ft. Waldon Beach, Fla.; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a grandson. Services at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home with the Rev. Edgar Allen officiating. Burial in Osborne Prairie Cemetery.
