COVINGTON, Ind. (CNS) - Larry C. "Butch" Mead, 30, of Johnson City, Tenn., died Sunday morning (Jan. 27. 1974) at Johnson City. He had been ill for three years and had been a patient at a Danville. Ill., hospital during the past year. Born April 10, 1943, he was the son of Lawrence Russell and Betty Lanning Mead. Survivors include his wife, Betty of Johnson City; a daughter, Lori at home; a son, Larry at home; his parents of Covington Route 3; a brother, Robert of Covington Route 3: two sisters, Mrs. Betty Jean Tipton of Chicago Heights and Mrs. Sharon Crain of Danville; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alva Mead of Covington Route 3. Services will be Tuesday afternoon at the Appalachian Funeral Home in Johnson City.  -- jlr
