Jesse E. (sic) Meadows, 54 years old died Monday morning at the Robert Long hospital in Indianapolis following a long illness. He had been confined to the hospital for some time. Meadows’ early life was spent in Attica and he lived here about 25 years ago going from here to Veedersburg where he has since made his home. He was married to Edith Brewer and to this union were born five children: Mervin and Norman both in the US Navy; Nile, John and Margaret at home. A brother, George Meadows, former well known resident of Attica now living at Hammond also survives. The body was removed to the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home in Veedersburg. Funeral arrangements have not as yet been made. – kbz
