Mildred Louise Meadows, 83, Linden, died at 9:30 a.m. Monday (Jan 18) in St. Clare Medical Center, Crawfordsville. Mrs. Meadows was a sales clerk at Diana Shop in Crawfordsville Mall for many years. She also worked in Hilltop Cafe, Waynetown. Her memberships include Center Christian Church near Elmdale; New Richmond Home Extension Club; and Eagles Lodge Auxiliary. She attended Fountain County schools. She was born Jan 15, 1920 at Attica to William and Goldie Mehaffey Stetler. She married Paul Lane on Oct 26, 1947 at Wingate. He died May 8, 1960. She then married Palmer Meadows on March 27, 1971 at Crawfordsville. He survives. Also surviving are 3 stepdaughters, Sharon Jeffers and Fanny Belle Addler, both of Crawfordsville, and Shirley Mayotte, Greencastle; a stepson, Eugene Lane, Florida; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A sister, Letha Yeager and brother, Ralph Stetler, are deceased. Funeral services are scheduled 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St, Crawfordsville with Rev. Gordon Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz
