COVINGTON — Mildred O. Meadows, 91, Covington, died at 3:47 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 13, 2000 in Provena USMC Logan Campus, Danville, Ill. She was born Nov. 14, 1908 in Georgetown, Ill., the daughter of Frank and Neddie Pribble Stevenson. She married Eugene Meadows Oct. 11, 1940 in Louisville, Ky. He preceded in death July 16, 1983. She graduated from Georgetown High School. She was a retired nurse, graduating from Lakeview School of Nursing in 1932. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren. Survivors include: a son, Henry (Nancy) Meadows, Covington; two grandsons, Doug Meadows, Covington and Curtis Meadows, Waynetown; a great-grandchild, Logan Meadows; a special friend, Bonnie Shoemaker, Covington; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) in DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home, Cayuga. Burial will be in Lower Mound Cemetery, north of Perrysville. The family requests contributions be made to the Lakeview College of Nursing, 812 North Logan, Danville, Ill. 61832. – jlr
