Earl W. Meeker, age 63, a resident of Covington Rt. 1, since March of 1961, died Friday, June 8, in Cole Hospital at Champaign, Ill., where he had been a patient about three weeks. He had been ill six months. Born in Danville on Nov. 19, 1898, he was a son of Lee and Ella Goodner Meeker. Mr. Meeker had been a farmer in the Danville area all of his life. He attended the Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Loraine; two brothers, Roy and Orville of Danville Rt. 2; and six sisters, Mrs. Pearl Scaggs of Kissimmee, Fla., who was his twin sister, Mrs. Elsie Swisher, Mrs. Ethel Brown and Mrs. Edith Drollinger, all of Danville, and Mrs. Marjorie Shutz of Indianola and Mrs. Opal Holycross of Alvin. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Sunday at the Barrick & Son Funeral Home, Danville. The Rev. Jack Bennett officiated. Burial was in the Johnson Cemetery northwest of Danville. Pallbearers were: John Meeker, Lewis Meeker, Verlon Brown, Harold Drollinger, Harold Dubrue, Jr., and James Dubrue.   --typed by Walt W
