Veedersburg --- Frank Meeker, age 89, native of Fountain County died Saturday afternoon, Oct. 6, in the Art Center Hospital at Detroit. He had resided with a daughter, Mrs. Stanton Snyder of Detroit, and had been in ill health for three months. Born on Nov. 5, 1872, on a farm near Veedersburg, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Meeker. He married Edith Quiggle, who preceded him in death. Surviving are: The daughters, Mrs. Snyder; a daughter, Mrs. Irvin Inghram of Portland, Ore.; a son, T. M. of Silinas, Calif.; a brother, Orville of Frankfort and five grandchildren. Mr. Meeker was a member of the Masonic Order at Attica, and a member of the Union Christian Church. He farmed for several years in the Fountain County area.  --typed by Walt W

Veedersburg - Frank Meeker, 89, Fountain County native died Saturday afternoon at the Art Center Hospital in Detroit after an illness of three months. He was born on a farm in this county November 5, 1872 to Theodore and Julia McKnight Meeker. He farmed in his early life. He was twice married, first to Calma Thompson in 1896 and after her death to Edith Quiggle of this community in 1902. She also preceded him in death. Recently Mr. Meeker had lived in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Stanton Snyder of Detroit. Also surviving are another daughter, Mrs. Irvin Inghram of Portland, Ore , a son, T.M. Meeker of Salinas, Calif; a brother, Orville Meeker of Frankfort and five grandchildren. Mr. Meeker was a member of Union Christian Church and a 50-year-member of Attica Masonic Lodge. Funeral rites are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Parham Funeral Home here. Rev. Mac Reed will officiate with burial in Union Cemetery. The body is being brought here early Tuesday from Detroit.
