MEEKER, Joseph Ross - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Joseph Ross Meeker, 54, who was a carpenter and bricklayer in Veedersburg for many years died Wednesday night after an illnses of four years. Mr. Meeker was born near Stone Bluff Jan 30, 1903, the son of Halford and Lura Lively Meeker. He was married March 20, 1928 to Alberta A. Smith (sic - Alberta?) in Veedersburg. Mr. Meeker was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Veedersburg. Survivors include the father; 3 sons, Norman, Jim and Zane; one daughter, Nola; two brothers, George and Gordon and one sister, Mrs. Vivian Heilman. Funeral services will be held at the EUB Church in Veedersburg at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Samuel Pritchard officiating The body will be in state at the church for one hour before service.
