Cayuga—Lula Mae Meeker, 72, Cayuga, died at 3:40 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 1989 at Covington Manor Health Care Center. She had been in failing health the past several years.
She was born Feb. 5, 1917 in Eugene, the daughter of Paul and Melissa Sollars Price. She was married Dec. 24, 1957 in Georgetown, Ill., to Gerald Pete Meeker, who survives.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing bingo and fishing.
Surviving besides her husband are a stepdaughter, Sallie Williams, Georgetown; a stepson, Gaylord Meeker, Georgetown; four step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren, and a sister, Betty Hickman, Kingman. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at DeVerter Brothers Funeral Home, Cayuga, with the Rev. John Irwin officiating. Burial was in Miller Cemetery, Lodi.- thanks to S
