Carl E. Meidel of Danville, Illinois, age 78, died Wednesday, August 26, in Americana Healthcare Center. He was born in Springfield, Illinois, February 13, 1903, the son of Joseph and Marie Hanselman Meidel. December 9, 1967, he married Zola White, who survives. He owned and operated Meidel Electric Motor Shop in Danville.
Also surviving are a son, Robert of Danville; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Nelson of Danville and Mrs. Connie Meihls of Veedersburg; a sister, Marie Sgro, and a brother, Frank, both of Springfield; four grandchildren, five step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday morning at Lakeside Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. Harris Stuermer officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park at Danville. – thanks to S
