Veedersburg—Zola L. Meidel, 80, Veedersburg, died at 2:40 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, 1989 at United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan Campus, Danville, Ill.
  She was born July 21, 1908 in Vermilion County, Ill., the daughter of Noah and Nora Watson White. She was married Feb. 16, 1926, in Danville to George O. Prather, who preceded her in death March 29, 1964. She later married Carl E. Meidel, who preceded her in death Aug. 26, 1981.
  She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Danville and the Valetta Chapter 207 Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing and especially her family.
  Surviving are two daughters, Mary Nelson, Danville, and Mrs. Gordon (Connie) Meihls, Veedersburg; a half brother, Larry White, Danville; four half sisters, Freda Mae Jarling, Rockville; Bonnie Johnson, Montezuma; Betty Hale, Princeton, Ky., and Dorothy Brown, Danville; four grandchildren, Debra Sue Earle, Virginia beach, Va.; Tammy Pyle, Veedersburg; Tori Current, Nashville, Tenn., and Dan Meihls, Wheeling, Ill., and five great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
  Funeral services were at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Sunset Funeral Home with Gary Johnson officiating. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Park. – thanks to s
