Clarence Meitzler, age about 61, a former resident of Covington and Attica, died Saturday, Oct. 8, following a heart attack suffered while playing a game of golf in Denver, Colo. He complained of feeling ill while playing but continued and finished the round. Death occurred while he was drinking coffee in the clubhouse. Mr. Meitzler was born in Covington the son of Mrs. Elizabeth Meitzler of Elkhart and the late Fred Meitzler. He was graduated from the Covington Community High School and continued his education in Crawfordsville. His family moved to Attica where he later became a mail carrier, serving in that capacity for several years. He moved to Denver, Colo., for the benefit of his health. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are: his wife, the former Cecil Redden of Attica; one sister, Vera Rhinehart of Nappanee; one uncle, Clarence Meitzler of Bristol; and four cousins, Mrs. Estal Edwards, George W. and Steve Keller of Covington and Mrs. Carl Dill of New Jersey. Funeral services anal burial were in Denver, where his mother and sister flew on Saturday night.   --typed by Walt W
