METTEE, Alberta Booe - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Alberta Elizabeth Booe Mettee passed away after a short illness at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, Illinois Tuesday evening, November 30. She was taken to the hospital two days before from her home in Veedersburg. She was born June 12, 1912, making her 31 years 5 months 18 days of age. She was the daughter of Balsar and Effie Alston (note: Ellingwood) Booe of Veedersburg and was united in marriage December 27, 1932 to Harold Mettee. Her entire life was lived in the vicinity of Veedersburg where she had gained many friends. She is survived by her husband and parents; 3 sisters, Mrs. Hazel Hay, Gessie, Ind; Dorothy Rasmussen, Williams Bay, Wis and Betty Lou at home; five brothers, Russell Booe, Charles Booe and Lawrence Booe all of Veedersburg; Orville Booe of Hillsboro and Eugene Booe at home. Funeral services were held at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial at Cold Spring cemetery. Rev. Charles Howard was in charge of the services.
