Victor and Miss Bess Bever, Mrs. Margaret Bever of Hillsboro; Mrs. George Crane, Sr; Miss Helen Mittman and Miss Betty Bever, all of Chicago, attended the funeral service of Mrs. Mary Metzger held at the Hopewell Baptist Church near Gessie on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial was in the cemetery near the church. Mrs. Metzger who frequently visited here was 78 years of age and died at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville Ill on Wed Jan 23, after having been a medical patient for six weeks. Her husband Squire J. Metzger a large landowner and one time director in the National bank of Covington, preceded her in death.
