MILES, Carrie Reitser - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Mrs. Carrie May Miles, 90, of 503 W. Market St., a native of Newtown, died at 8: 25 a.m. today in Culver Hospital. She had been a patient since Sunday. Mrs. Miles and her husband, Albert O., had farmed in the Waynetown community until he died July 26, 1948. She moved to Crawfordsville after his death. She was a member of the former Green Bay Church, north of Newtown. Born Aug. 29, 1884, she was a daughter of Joseph and Lizzie Stephenson Reister. She was married at Attica. Surviving are two sons, Russell of Rt. 6, and Gordon of Rt. 1, New Richmond; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. An infant daughter, three sisters, and a great-great-grandchild are deceased. Services will be at 1: 30 p.m. Saturday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with the Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Friday.   --typed by Walt W
