MILFORD, Charles Y - Fountain County INGenWeb Project

Charles Y. Milford, 65, former Lafayette resident and retired Illinois Bell Telephone Co Executive, died at 3 a.m. Monday in his home at 1350 Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, Ill.  He was born in Attica and was raised in Lafayette, graduating from Jefferson HS and Purdue University, receiving his BS Degree in 1928. He moved to Chicago shortly after graduation and retired two years ago from Illinois Bell Telephone Co where he had charge of personnel.  He was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. His father was attorney with the Randolph and Milford firm here years ago.  The family home was at 602 S. 10th St, Lafayette. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of Chicago and an elder in the Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago. There are no immediate survivors. -kz
