COVINGTON — Cliston A. Miller, 84, Covington, died at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2001 in St. Vincents Williamsport Hospital following an extended illness. He was born Feb. 2, 1917 near Kingman, the son of John C. and Adah Hutts Miller. He married Leah R. Hollowell Oct. 22, 1938 in Covington. She survives. He attended Kingman schools. He was a farmer all his life, retiring in 1981 when they moved to Covington from Kingman. He was also a carpenter for many years and enjoyed gardening. He was a member of Centennial Church. Survivors, besides the wife, include: two sons, John L. (Josephine) Miller, Kingman and James Leroy (Sue) Miller, Covington; a sister, Maxine McGee, Marshall; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in Centennial Church with the Rev. Stanley Hicks officiating. Burial was in Centennial Cemetery. Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. Vincents Williamsport Hospital with envelopes available at the funeral home. – jlr
