Robert J. Miller who was twice sheriff of Fountain County died of heart trouble on Friday of last week. In his younger days, Mr. Miller lived several years in Waveland, working as a teamster and later, kept a restaurant on the site where the airdome is going up. The funeral was held on Tuesday at Wallace.

Hillsboro, April 21 - Robert J. MILLER, 65, a prominent and longtime resident of Jackson Twp, Fountain Co died this evening at 6 o'clock, the end coming suddenly and unexpected although Mr. Miller has been in poor health for some months. Mr. Miller was in bed when the summons came. He had not been feeling well and as he began to grow worse he asked for a physician, but before the Dr. arrived he was dead. Robert Miller was one of the big men of Fountain County big in body, heart and mind. He was born and reared in Jackson Twp and was widely related in that locality. He was elected sheriff of Fountain Co in 1898 and 1900. He was a whole-souled man, and called everybody his friend. He is survived by the sorrowing wife, six children, four sons and two daughters. All are married and lived in the old home locality. Funeral arrangements had not been completed at a late hour tonight.
