MILLIKAN, John Vernal

John Vernal Millikan, 70 a life resident of Liberty Township was found dead at his farm home near Tangier at May 10, 1960 by a son, John. He had a heart ailment. Born November 1, 1889 he was the son of William and Mary Sely Millikan. He married September 17, 1910 to Belle Thomas who survives. Also surviving are nine children: Mrs. Ellen Kiger of Brooks; Mrs. Lorene Davies of New Richmond; Mrs. Zeda Davies of Lafayette; William; Mrs. Margery Brooks and John all of Tangier; Mrs. Elsie Overman of Lafayette; Eugene of Kingman and Mrs. Priscilla Jackman of Lafayette. Two sisters Mrs. Alpha Commons of Tangier and Mrs. Waneta Cory of Montezuma; two brothers, Robert of Kingmam and Kenneth of Anderson and several grandchildren and greats. Funeral services Friday at the Brown Funeral Home in Montezuma with Rev Eugene Rapson officiating with burial in West Union Cemetery.
