William H. Millikan, 76, RR 1, Tangier, died at 3 a.m. Thursday Nov 4, 1993 at his residence. Born June 24, 1917 in Parke County, he was the son of Vernon and Belle Thomas Millikan. One Dec 11, 1938 he married Martha Geneve Orahood, who died Nov 2, 1983. A farmer, he was a 1938 graduate of Tanger HS and member of Kingman Community Church. Survivors include a son, Robert Millikan of Tangier; two brothers, Gene Millikan of Kingman and John Millikan of Tangier; three sisters, Helen Davies of Brookston, Marjorie Brook of Naples, Florida and Elsie Overly of Lafayette; six grandchildren and nine greats. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Cox in December 1971. Services were conducted Saturday at Butler Funeral Home in Rockville with Rev. Glenn Ray officiating.
