ROB ROY — Samuel Fletcher Minick Jr., 64, 296 E. McBride Road, Attica, died at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, 2006 in VA Illiana Health Care System, Danville, Ill. He was born Nov. 23, 1941 in Portland Arch, the son of Samuel F. and Bernice Ilone (Fuel) Minick. He married Kathleen “Kathy" Dispennett Jan. 30,1963 in the Williamsport Christian Church. She survives. He was raised and attended school in Attica. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in Germany during the Vietnam Conflict. He formerly worked at Harrison Steel Casting Company in Attica. He later worked as a press operator for Wabash National in Lafayette, retiring in 2004. He was a member of Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Covington. He enjoyed flea markets and roller skating. Survivors, besides the wife, include: a daughter, Tina Adele Minick, Attica; a son, Troy Arlen Minick, Rob Roy; two brothers, Loren Minick, Attica and Sam Speros, Marshall, Ill.; a half sister, Cheryl Summers, Attica; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Saturday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with Brother Mark Phipps officiating.
