Miss Virginia Minick, 24, died at her home in Veedersburg. She has been in failing health for several months and became seriously ill Saturday night.

Born May 3, 1921, near Veedersburg, she was the daughter of Charles and Mae (Washburn) Minick.  Her father preceded her in death.

Those surviving include the mother, two sisters, Mrs. Frances Roach of Attica.  Bernice Minick of Veedersburg; two brothers, Fletcher Minick of Attica and Charles Minick, Jr. of Veedersburg. There are also two half-sisters, Mrs. Madge Long of Marshfield and Mrs. Vern Steele of Cincinnati.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the United Brethern Church in Stone Bluff.  Burial was made in the Osborn Prairie Church cemetery with the Parham Funeral Home in charge.   --- kbz (thanks to the Minnicks for this article) - transcribed by kbz
