ATTICA — Clarence Earl Minnick, 91, 47 N. State Road 55, Attica, and had been residing in Covington Manor Nursing Center, died at 5:16 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000 in St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. He was born Jan. 24, 1908 in Paris, Ill., the son of Henry William Minnick and Emma Minnick Bishop. He married Ella Lawson Dec. 24, 1955 in Attica. She preceded in death Jan. 27, 1997. He had lived in Veedersburg and resided in Hillsboro for 42 years. He formerly farmed in the Hillsboro area for many years and had worked as a welder in the cleaning room of Harrison Steel Castings Company in Attica, retiring in 1973. He was a member of Attica Eagles Lodge #2596. Survivors, include: a son, Robert E. Minnick, Hillsboro; two daughters, Eleanor Mitchell, Linden; Barbara (Vernon) Harvey, Alamo; a sister, Louise Kassinger, Alton, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son, William Minnick; a brother; four sisters; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Maus Funeral Home, Attica, with the Rev. Joel Hutson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) with Eagles memorial services being held at 7:45 p.m. – jlr
