MINNICK, Dorothy Davis Swadley

 Mrs. Dorothy Ilene Swadley Minnick, 63, Williamsport, died at 6:38 a.m. Friday, November 11, at Community Hospital in Williamsport. She was the mother of Ronald D. Swadley of Attica.

  Born June 11, 1920 in Warren County, she was the daughter of Clyde and Mamie Weaver Davis. She married Samuel P. Swadley, who died in 1965. In 1974, she married Daniel D. Minnick in Pine Village, who survives.

  She graduated in 1938 from Williamsport High School and attended Utterback-Brown Business College in Danville, Illinois. She worked at Citizens State Bank in Williamsport for several years and previously was a secretary for the Ringer Law Firm in Williamsport. She was a deputy clerk of Warren County and had also been secretary for Warren County REMC. She was a member of Williamsport Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star and Business and Professional Women’s Club of Williamsport.
  Other survivors include another son, Richard of Indianapolis; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Connie Brinkruff of Goshen; a sister, Mrs. Verlin Lucas of Williamsport; and seven grandchildren.

  Services were conducted Monday at Fisher Funeral Home in Williamsport with Rev. Gene Polf officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery in Williamsport. The family requested that any memorials be contributions to the Warren County Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. -s-
