Mellott—(CNS)—Edward Minnick, 70, died at 7 p. m. Friday (Aug. 17, 1951) following a heart attack at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alpon Haas, near Wingate, where he had been visiting for the past four weeks. He had been in failing health for some time. His death was unexpected. Mr. Minnick was born on a farm near Veedersburg Mar. 29, 1881. He was married to Miss Pamson Remster of near Mellott, who preceded him in death 13 months ago. The Minnick family moved to a farm near Mellott 35 years ago. Mr. Minnick was a mail carrier for 18 years before his retirement. Surviving are a son, Thurston of near Mellott; two daughters, Mrs. Haas, at whose home he died, and Mrs. Marguerite Royal of Lafayette; one sister, Mrs. Fred Strader of Veedersburg; eight grandchildren, and six grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. DST Sunday in the Mellott Congregational-Christian Church. The Rev. Guy P. Walters will officiate and burial will be in Newtown Cemetery under the direction of the Crumley Funeral Home.
