Services were held Tuesday afternoon, March 8, at the Fishero Funeral Home in Veedersburg for Fred Minnick, age 51, who died Saturday, March 5, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, Danville, where he was admitted Friday night. Born Sept. 30, 1908 in Veedersburg, he was the son of George and Vessie Greenleas Minnick. He had been employed in the Maintenance department of the Nickle Plate Railroad. Survivors include two brothers, Glenn of Veedersburg and Earl of Rockville. The Rev. Samuel Pritchard officiated and burial was in Bonebrake Cemetery - Walt W.

Veedersburg—Fred Minnick, life resident and retired farmer of the Veedersburg vicinity, died Sunday morning at 4 o’clock at a nursing home in Crawfordsville. He had been a patient there one week.  Born on a farm near here Aug. 25, 1873, he was the son of George and Martha Dice Minnick. He was never married. In recent years he had resided at the home of a sister, Mrs. Fred Schrader. She survives along with a brother, Edward Minnick of Mellott, and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 at the J. Fred Parham Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Chelan officiating. Interment will be made in the family lot in Osborne Prairie Cemetery. – thanks to S&E
